sensiblecat and his partner sillycat were created and drawn by my daugter Becky at the age of six (I think). We went to the Lowry Centre in Salford and saw an exhibition which engaged her. It was line drawings of ordinary inner city people, witty and beautifully observed, with one difference - instead of human heads and hands, they had cats' heads, and paws.
Becky has always been cat-mad and needed no encouragement to leave a wonderful portrait of her family, in the same style, in the visitors' book. On our next visit, we peeped behind the scenes into the Education Department's office, where we were thrilled to see her picture torn from the book and on the office wall!
This inspired her to create other little feline characters, and sensiblecat is the result. It has been my online name for a while, including my time spent as an Amazon Marketplace seller.
I should also credit www.eclectech.co.uk with the creation of my photographic sensiblecat.
