Just to get back to the really important stuff - what the hell is the BBC playing at with the DW rumours right now?

Anybody get the feeling they're deliberately fanning Next Doctor speculation? It might just be profile-raising as we lead up to Christmas, but that seems unnecessary given Tennant's announcement, etc.

So, the latest twist is David does BBC Breakfast Time in a cute polka-dot shirt that looks like it's been made from his mum's old apron, but I digress. Out of the thousands of questions allegedly sent in, the one that's picked to throw at him is "How about Billie Piper for Eleven?" Of course, he prevaricates, says nothing can be ruled out, including a female Doctor.  You never heard anything more non-committal, at least not outside a New Labour press conference.

And the next thing we know, the Telegraph is claiming DT is supporting Billie as Eleven! It's beyond ridiculous.

Now, why pick that question, I wonder? Are the BBC just trying to distract us all from Manuel-gate? They have Children in Need and the US Election to do that. I'm beginning to wonder if we are going to see a female Doctor, but my money isn't on Rose. It's on Donna.

Rude and ginger! I can handle that. The main argument against is that, if the last two-parter was anything to go by, Moffatt can't write Donna for squat. But like David, I'm ruling nothing out.
